It all started with a click. On a cool Wednesday evening in March 2020, Nick was live on TikTok, acting goofy and making jokes. I was immediately charmed. I convinced him to download Snapchat, and the rest is history. We were eager to know everything about each other.

Our first FaceTime lasted two hours, and we both knew we had found something special. Despite the challenges of living in different states—me in Texas and Nick in Washington—and the added difficulty of COVID-19 restrictions, we managed to plan a meeting. By the end of July, for my upcoming birthday, Nick picked me up from the airport and showed me his favorite spots in Washington, like Deception Pass and Snoqualmie Falls. Our first official date took place at Olive Garden in Texas in late September, and our first dance to “When I Fall in Love” by Nat King Cole happened at Christmas in Washington after our second date. It felt like we were meant to be.

Through our shared love for traveling and trying new restaurants, among other things, we became each other’s go-to person. We navigated life hand in hand during a few unprecedented years, and the one thing we were absolutely certain about was each other.

In the years since, I moved to Washington, where we have lived in our apartment for four years with our sweet dog, Neo. We’ve traveled to Hawaii and Colorado and even made the drive from Texas to Washington site seeing along the way. We enjoy gardening together, decorating for the holidays, and making countless memories with our wonderful family and friends (that’s you!).

Together, we’ve discovered that the best adventures are the ones we create with each other, and we are deeply grateful for our partnership. This Fall, join us as we say, "I do" and embark on the next phase of our life together in Texas, one of our favorite places.
